I created a Star Wars themed sales contest named
"The Metrics Wars."
The staff was sorted into teams.
There were different weekly challenges comprised of sales goals that teams had to achieve to move up the contest levels.
There were bonus Jedi levels for top performing teams.

A manager was assigned to each team as the Captain.
Having different teams motivated competition amongst the staff,
and having managers own their team's success created intense competitiveness amongst the leadership team.

To up the ante even more, I tracked the other stores in our area and compared their results to ours. This created store rivalries, which motivated our team to win.
